  • If you are an autodidact, join this UMN Canvas Learning Center.
  • If you are a new or adjunct instructor who does not currently have access to a UMN x500 or course materials, please contact [email protected] to request assistance in setting up a “developmental course site,” while you wait for formal access.

Canvas sites are automatically generated about 2 months before the start of the semester. Students and instructors are automatically added to the courses. Your Canvas course will show up under the MyTeach tab when you log in at MyU.umn.edu

CEHD Instructional Technology Fellow (KinITF)

The IT Fellow supports a variety of instructional technology tools and platforms, including Canvas. There are many other tools hosted at the U of M that the KinITF also supports.

The goal of the College Instructional Technology Fellowship Program (ITFP) is to support instructors as they integrate learning technologies into their courses. The program matches a half-time graduate assistant, dedicated to supporting technology-enhanced learning, with each academic unit.

The KinITF supports instructors by:

  • advising on the selection, integration, and management of instructional technologies and course management
  • consulting on the use of learning technologies at the U
  • providing technical support for the use of learning tools
  • researching and evaluating new learning technologies
  • referring instructors to resources for digital media development

The KinITF works within a cohort environment, collaborating with each other unit IT Fellow to resolve technical issues and provide information, training, and consultation to the CEHD academic community.
