Syllabus

Instructors are expected to pay careful attention to lesson planning and syllabus development. Planning should take place far enough in advance of the semester so that the syllabus is fully developed, proper equipment and supplies can be secured, instructors teaching related content can collaborate, and students can become well-informed of course expectations. Lessons should build on each other and progress toward meeting course goals and objectives.

The University of Minnesota requires instructors to provide students a syllabus at the beginning of the semester and to communicate any revisions to students immediately at the time of revision and no later.

The School of Kinesiology requires all instructors to archive course syllabi each semester via the Syllabus Upload and Archiving Tool or by emailing materials to [email protected].

See Archiving Course Materials for additional details regarding University and departmental archiving policies.

Contact DUGS, DGS, and/or Curriculum Scheduling Administrator for additional information.
