Instructors teaching in the following facilities will need to have their UMN account synced with the University Recreation and Wellness Biometric Hand Scanner: Cooke Hall Gymnasiums, Fieldhouse, University Recreation Wellness Fitness Center, North Gym, RecWell Turf/Dome, Saint Paul Gymnasium, Cooke Hall, and Natatorium Pools.
This will require instructors to bring their Driver’s License or UCard to the Front Desk of the University Recreation Wellness Center or the Saint Paul Gymnasium for assistance with this process. This will need to be done prior to the start of the semester to ensure easy access to your class.
Instructors who have previously completed a biometric handscan will have their records automatically reactivated at the start of the next semester they are teaching a PE class.
