If someone requests individual student information or lists of student information, instructors should contact the UMN FERPA Director for clarification. Student spouses, parents, or employers are not necessarily entitled to nonpublic student information. Please refer parental requests to the registrar’s office. Instructors are expected to complete a tutorial on protecting student information.
