All PE instructors are required to provide proof of CPR, First Aid, and AED certification prior to the first day of class. The University of Minnesota Recreation and Wellness Program and the Boynton Health Services provide these certification courses, as do many other organizations around the Metro.
The School of Kinesiology will pay for the PE instructor certification when taken through the University of Minnesota Recreation and Wellness Program. All other certifications will be at the instructor's own expense. Questions can be directed to the Curriculum and Scheduling Administrator.
Copies of these certifications must be archived annually via the PE Instructor Certification Archiving Tool.
